The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. (Psalm 28:7 NIV)

We have an expectation that the president of our organization and managers of our department will lead us in the best direction to sustain our job. They have the background, education and experience to do so and we can trust them. Likewise, we can develop an expectation and trust that God will consistently help us at work.  We develop this trust when we regularly seek and rely upon him. Reflect for a moment on the many times He has helped you both personally and professionally. He has never let you down. God is reliable. He provides insight and direction to us in our work that we would not have access to if we didn’t ask him.

As the one who is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, God has control over all things, including our work situation. He is ultimately the the Chief Executive Officer who makes promises and sets goals. He is the Chief Operations Officer and President, who executes those goals. He controls the money as the Chief Financial Officer and as a Director, he is in charge of the smallest details. As his children, we have access to all of that. Our faith is an advantage in the workplace. Rejoice that we can apply it to every situation in our lives.

Prayer-Lord I thank you for being my strength and the source of my success at work. I praise you for provision, spiritually, personally and professionally. Amen
